A teenager who was accused of being behind the wheel in a crash that killed a passenger has pleaded guilty to motor vehicle homicide. The 18-year-old admitted he was driving on the night of September 11th, 2009. Police tried to stop him for a marked lanes violation when he took off. By the time police were able to catch up to him the Chevy Lumina had crashed . The 18-year-old passenger was killed in the crash. A second passenger suffered only minor injuries. He also pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failing to stop for police. He was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison with nearly a year already served. Once released he'll be on five years probation.
