Two-vehicle crash
At about 4:15 p.m. Friday there was a two vehicle crash on Main Street and Jonas Lane. A Jeep Warangler heading east on Main St. collided with a Ford Escape turning onto Jonas Lane. The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The occupants of the the Ford declined medical treatment. Police are investigating the crash.

Students escape injury after car strikes school van
Four students and their driver escaped injury after the school van they were riding in was struck by a car pulling into Route 66. The crash happened on Route 66 as a Lincoln MKS sedan was pulling out of the Post Office shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday evening. The Lincoln struck the Ford van carrying members of the High School golf team. Despite a blown tire the driver was able to safely stop the van just up the road. The driver of the car also escaped injury. Police are investigating the crash.

Car vs DPW truck sends three to hospital
At about 10 a.m. Tuesday a Pontiac Grand Prix collided with a DPW truck at the corner of Regions Lane and Margarita Avenue. Fire Rescue transported three people to the hospital with unknown injuries. There was also a fuel spill, which was mitigated by the Fire Dept.
One to hospital after highway crash
Around 11 a.m. Tuesday there was a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 66 and Mars Lane in. A Mercury Grand Marquis struck a Pontiac Vibe. One person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Several injured in dramatic crash
Several people were injured in a dramatic crash Monday afternoon. A GMC Envoy apparently broadsided a Chevy van at the intersection of John:s Lane and Old Straw Road. The impact rolled the van on its side and it came to rest against a utility pole. Three ambulances along with one from Fire rescue transported the victims to the Hospital. None of the injuries appeared serious. Police are investigating the crash.
Two-car collision sends one to hospital
The female driver of the Honda, traveling alone, was transported to the Hospital by fire rescue with unknown injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
The Ford driver, also traveling alone, refused treatment.
Traffic was reduced to one lane until the scene was cleared.
The circumstances of the collision are not known at this time. The Police Department is conducting an investigation.
A Honda CR-V collided with a Ford Escape around 12:20 p.m. Friday.
Car hits "fisherman" statue, then crashes into tree
A"fisherman" statue that had been outside the Sports Port on West Main Street for some 60 years was destroyed after being struck by a car. The Volvo sedan continued on striking a tree.
The driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
