Students escape injury after car strikes school van

Four students and their driver escaped injury after the school van they were riding in was struck by a car pulling into Route 66. The crash happened on Route 66 as a Lincoln MKS sedan was pulling out of the  Post Office shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday evening. The Lincoln struck the Ford van carrying members of the High School golf team. Despite a blown tire the driver was able to safely stop the van just up the road. The driver of the car also escaped injury. Police are investigating the crash.
